MINNESOTA FOOD JUSTICE AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY RESOURCES
Our legal and policy experts help Minnesota communities, organizations, and public health professionals analyze, develop and adopt measures that promote food justice, physical activity and advance health equity. We focus on policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change, including planning and land use tools, to support healthy child care, school wellness, Safe Routes to School, Complete Streets, multi-modal transportation, worker wellness, breastfeeding support, sugary drink reduction, food policy councils, community-based agriculture, farmers markets, healthy food outlets, healthy food in public places and programs, and more. A large part of our work is supporting the Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP), a cornerstone of Minnesota’s Vision for a Better State of Health.
