Rachel Chambers provides legal technical assistance on commercial tobacco control issues to public health professionals and organizations, legal professionals, and advocates in California and throughout the United States.
Prior to joining the Public Health Law Center, Rachel served as an Assistant Public Defender for the past six years serving the communities of Park Rapids, Bemidji, and most recently Minneapolis. She represented both adults and juveniles in matters ranging from misdemeanors to murders. Rachel also served as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Fort Collins, Colorado, focusing on Emergency Operation Planning and the creation of state-wide marketing materials for Colorado 2-1-1.
In her spare time, Rachel loves to read, play music, grow plants, play tennis, travel, and spend time with her spouse and dog.
