Daniel Carpenter-Gold is a Staff Attorney with the Public Health Law Center, providing legal technical assistance on climate-justice issues to advocates, community groups, and local governments. His work focuses on equitable building decarbonization: policies and practices for reducing building emissions while maximizing co-benefits and minimizing harm for the people who live and use those buildings, especially low-income tenants and tenants of color. Daniel was previously a fellow at the UCLA School of Law, and before that worked as a staff attorney at TakeRoot Justice in New York City, where he provided legal support to community-based organizations in the areas of housing quality and equity, land use, and economic development.
